2022 Scholarship Breakfast

On Sunday, June 5th, the Kiwanis Club of Rolling Hills Estates held their annual Scholarship Brunch at the Los Verdes Golf Course.  This was the twenty fourth year for this event.  Twenty nine students received a combination of Scholarship and Merit Awards.

The students were selected not only for their academic achievement but for their service to community, having performed to the best of their ability and shown special “heart”.

Outstanding high school graduates represented Palos Verdes Peninsula, Phineas Banning, Port of Los Angeles, Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy, Narbonne and San Pedro High Schools.

The Kiwanis of Rolling Hills Estates has had a long history of service to the community.  Established in 1996, the club strives to support our local community through scholarships and outreach programs.

Applications for 2022 Kiwanis of RHE Scholarships are now available!

Applications will be welcomed from students planning to go to a four-year college or university as well as those planning to attend a community college or vocational program. An applicant may be called upon to be interviewed as part of the selection process.

June 2021 KRHE Scholar Awards Ceremony

 

On June 6, 2021, the Kiwanis Club of RHE celebrated 6 Continuing and 24 High School Scholars for their academic excellence, service, and “heart.” Scholars, families, donors, club members, and community youth development professionals from Volunteers of America and the B&GC of the LA Harbor joined together on Zoom to celebrate all 30 amazing, resilient, positive and forward-thinking young people who will be our future leaders.

Scholarship Luncheon Canceled

Notice:

The Scholarship Luncheon scheduled for June 7, 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus.  We hope that all will stay safe  and healthy during these trying times.  All scholarship award recipients will be notified by mail with the scholarship and a letter of congratulations.
