On Sunday, June 5th, the Kiwanis Club of Rolling Hills Estates held their annual Scholarship Brunch at the Los Verdes Golf Course. This was the twenty fourth year for this event. Twenty nine students received a combination of Scholarship and Merit Awards.
The students were selected not only for their academic achievement but for their service to community, having performed to the best of their ability and shown special “heart”.
Outstanding high school graduates represented Palos Verdes Peninsula, Phineas Banning, Port of Los Angeles, Harbor Teacher Preparation Academy, Narbonne and San Pedro High Schools.
The Kiwanis of Rolling Hills Estates has had a long history of service to the community. Established in 1996, the club strives to support our local community through scholarships and outreach programs.
