The 51st Palos Verdes Half Marathon was held on November 17, 2018 at Pelican Cove in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. The race was sold out at 1,800 registered runners, 1,524 runners crossed the finish line.

Palos Verdes is Southern California’s most scenic half marathon. It has earned a reputation throughout the running community as one of the nation’s most challenging and iconic races and the country’s second-oldest continuously run marathon until it evolved into a Half Marathon.

Runners start and finish at Pelican Cove just above the scenic Terranea Resort. The course follows the roads through residential neighborhoods with million dollar homes and flows along scenic coastal cliffs with views of Catalina Island in the distance.
Proceeds from the race supports the club’s many programs including the Scholarship Program, Project Shoe (school shoes and school supplies) for underprivileged children and the Prosthetic Hand Project (prosthetics for children who have lost their fingers due to birth or disaster).
